Block is a new short film from Writer Director Oisin Tymon. The film opens as Shelly, played by Alice Bailey Johnson (Rare Beasts, The Little Stranger), arrives at a beautiful rented country retreat. With aspirations to achieve her true calling as a famous novelist, Shelly challenges herself to write several pages a day, but is doomed to find distractions everywhere she looks...
Block was recently selected for Cine Horror Film Festival in Brazil, an international film festival celebrating Fantasy Genre Films, taking place this autumn 2024. Earlier this summer, it was also screened at Brighton Rocks Film Festival, where it had its UK premier. Previously the film screened at Julien Dubuque International Film Festival in April 2024, when it had its world premier in Iowa, USA.
